The FillerUp Club Is It A Scam My Early Review
76What Was The Fillerup Club
Update: Due to an obvious Ponzi appearing type situation the filler up club is no more. See More Here
I hope I will be able to answer your question; What was the Fillerup Club? Does It really pay you back rebates on your fuel purchases?
I started this hub in December of 2009 when I joined the fillerup club. My early review was really early and I received some notifications from hub pages that I was a little over the top on promoting the fillerup club so smack me for being aggressive. :D
I understand their concern and knocked it off and decided to just come back now after 7 months and tell you my experience with the program that I have had and a few other things that I have run onto. I purchased a certificate in December on my Visa.
Joe Dutton, the owner of the fillerup club found out during his initial launch that it was very difficult to get a merchant account to process all the transactions without having some serious concerns of fraud and also charge backs in the future so the transactions for fuel certificates did not process in December.
The main reason most people joined other than saving money on fuel was for the MLM part of the program. In fact the program offered incentives for people to join other than the fuel rebate program. The cost to be a member is 10.00 per month, similar to what a membership store like Costco etc. would charge but on a monthly basis.
Originally the fillerup club had two pay plans for signs ups other than rebates. One for people you signed directly underneath you and one from basic growth. Because of these MLM type structured affiliate referral type programs the merchant processors were unhappy with the relationship to a pyramid like type system and this caused problems for the fillerup club as they launched.
After Joeseph Dutton secured a pay by check system and a pay by Alertpay system it was full steam ahead. I purchased my first certificate on about Feb 9th 2010. Later I found out that I should have been sending in receipts for Jan and Feb because my certificate was for Jan - June 2010.
I have been receiving my rebate checks and so far so good. The only misunderstanding I have had was the starting time for the certificate and now that I fully understand why it is what it is I will just continue to get my rebate checks and play it by ear :)
I think that he and his wife are handling the entire project by themselves and that is why the communication channels have been slow. They seem to be very busy processing rebates:) I started a site about the filler up club and if you have any questions you can come here and ask. Fillerup Club Questions.
Getting discounts on things for real are not always for real or consistent. In the case of the fillerup club for me personally so far I am getting a rebate check each month. And thank goodness because I have 3 daughters and a wife that drive allot. I save 21% on my gasoline.
Instead of 3.00 per gallon I spend 2:37.
.63 per gallon adds up if you use Gasoline or Diesel.
You should always exercise due diligence in any decision that you make. In other words be responsible for your decisions.
Cheers!

Does Joe Dutton have a Partner?
I got ssamed for $1400 from the Filler Up Club. I was first told that my rebates were on hold due to the slow stock market (This was never mentioned as a possible investment threat). Then I was informed I would receive no further rebates due to someone stealing all the money. You mean to tell me Mr. Dutton didin't have insurance against theft?? I was suspicious at first but went for it. NEVER AGAIN!!! I HATE MLM'S From here on out I'll keep investing in my I.R.A. To all out there I say, Be aware, Be very Aware!!!!!

I concur with much of what Dirk writes here. I started in the club early as well, in fact was shut out from receiving my vouchers because of the difficulties with the merchant accounts as Dirk explains. I too stuck with it and can say that I am receiving my checks just as Dirk.
The MLM component is really what has attracted me to this business, not to mention the savings on gasoline. I can see that once this really gets off the ground and is built and branded by it's membership it will truly be a fine income stream. Now to the weekly conference call!
